These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Maggy mobile application and website at usemaggy.com (collectively, the "Service"), operated by Maggy ("we", "us", or "our"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. The Service
Maggy is a mobile application that helps you tailor your resume to specific job postings using artificial intelligence. The Service allows you to store a master resume, share job posting URLs, receive AI-generated tailored resumes, and export PDFs.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. By using it, you represent that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.
3. Your Account
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password. You must notify us immediately at privacy@usemaggy.com if you suspect unauthorised access to your account. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to keep your credentials secure.
4. Your Content
You retain ownership of all content you upload to the Service, including your resume data and any information about your job applications ("Your Content"). By using the Service, you grant us a limited licence to store, process, and transmit Your Content solely to provide the Service to you.
You represent that Your Content does not infringe any third-party rights and that you have the right to provide it to the Service.
5. AI-Generated Output
Tailored resumes and other AI-generated content are produced automatically. You are responsible for reviewing all AI output before using it. We make no guarantee that AI-generated content is accurate, complete, or appropriate for any particular job application. Always verify the output before submitting it to an employer.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law.
- Upload false, misleading, or fraudulent resume information.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or access the Service in any unauthorised manner.
- Use the Service to generate content that misrepresents your qualifications to employers.
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.
7. Intellectual Property
The Maggy name, logo, and all software, designs, and content created by us are our intellectual property. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use our trademarks or other proprietary materials without our prior written consent.
8. Third-Party Services
The Service integrates with third-party providers including AI model providers and cloud infrastructure. Your use of the Service is also subject to those providers' terms. We are not responsible for the practices of third-party services.
9. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any particular job application outcome will result from using it. AI-generated resumes are tools to assist you — final responsibility for your job search remains with you.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of employment opportunities, arising out of or related to your use of the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or AU$10, whichever is greater.
11. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Service, with reasonable notice where practicable. Account deletion permanently removes unused Maggy credits, which are not refundable. Deleting your Maggy account does not cancel an Apple subscription; you must cancel it separately through Apple. Upon termination, you may request deletion of your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the effective date above. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Philippines, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of the Philippines.
14. Apple App Store Terms
If you downloaded Maggy from the Apple App Store, you acknowledge that these Terms are between you and us only, not with Apple Inc. Apple has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support for the app. In the event of any failure to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any). Apple has no other warranty obligations regarding the app.
