Effective date: 12 July 2026
Maggy ("we", "our", or "us") is a mobile app that helps you tailor your resume to job postings. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
Information We Collect
We collect only what is necessary to provide the service:
- Account information — your email address and the account identifier supplied when you sign in with Apple or Google. We never receive your Apple ID or Google password.
- Resume and cover-letter data — source and tailored documents you create in the app, including work history, education, skills, contact details, and base cover-letter text.
- Job application data — job posting URLs you share with the app, scraped job descriptions, tailored resume versions, and the status you assign to each application.
- Purchase information — product identifiers, subscription status, entitlement status, and credit transactions. Apple processes payment details; Maggy does not receive your full card information.
- Device and notification information — an Apple Push Notification service device token if you opt in to notifications.
- Usage data — basic server logs (request timestamps, IP addresses) retained for up to 30 days for security and debugging purposes.
How We Use Your Information
- To create and authenticate your account.
- To tailor your resume to job postings using an AI language model.
- To generate and store PDF versions of your tailored resume.
- To send transactional emails (email verification, password reset). We do not send marketing emails.
- To validate purchases, restore entitlements, deliver requested notifications, prevent abuse, and diagnose service failures.
AI Processing
When you use an AI feature, the relevant resume or cover-letter content and job description are sent to Groq and, when transient failover is required, Anthropic. Maggy does not use your documents to train its own models. Those providers process inputs under their applicable commercial terms, privacy terms, and the account controls configured for Maggy.
Data Storage
Your data is stored securely using Supabase (PostgreSQL database and file storage), hosted in the Asia-Pacific region. PDFs generated for you are stored in a private Supabase Storage bucket accessible only to your account.
Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with the service providers necessary to operate Maggy:
- Supabase — database and file storage
- Groq / Anthropic — AI language model processing
- Resend — transactional email delivery
- Railway — backend hosting
- Google and Apple — optional identity sign-in
- RevenueCat and Apple — purchase, subscription, entitlement, and restoration processing
- Apple Push Notification service — delivery of notifications you permit
Sign in with Apple
If you use Sign in with Apple, Apple may share a relay email address with us. We use this only to associate your account. We do not share it with third parties beyond what is listed above.
Sign in with Google
If you use Google Sign-In, Google provides an account identifier and basic account information needed to authenticate you. Google's own privacy terms also apply to that sign-in flow.
Information Stored on Your Device
Maggy stores authentication credentials in your device's protected storage. Non-document preferences, walkthrough state, and a temporary queue of unsent job-feed actions may be stored locally on your device. Resume and base cover-letter content are stored with your authenticated Maggy account rather than in ordinary local preferences.
Data Retention
We retain account and document data while your account is active, unless a shorter operational or legal period applies. You can delete your account and associated Maggy data from Account settings in the app. Deleting a Maggy account does not cancel an Apple subscription; subscriptions must be managed separately through Apple. You can also contact privacy@usemaggy.com for help with privacy requests.
Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@usemaggy.com.
Children's Privacy
Maggy is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the effective date above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
